About the Baker 

Hello there! I’m Jennifer, the cookie artist behind Cookie Dough Cookies. If I had to describe how I started decorating cookies, I’d simply say it was a blessing in disguise. Disguised as a disappointed mom.

 

I first came across decorated cookies on Instagram and immediately thought, “My baby needs those for his birthday!” The problem? His birthday party was only a week away. So many said no, and most never responded. Now, six years into this, I completely understand why. It was an impossible ask. The party came and went, but those cookies never left my mind. Months later, I saw an ad for a DIY cookie decorating kit a few towns over, from ANR Cookies. I became obsessed after that. I always say she was my inspiration, and I hope she reads this one day. I practiced everyday. I burned a lot of cookies. I learned about icing consistency, researched products, bought cookie cutters I definitely didn't need, and eventually my kitchen became one big, sweet mess.

 

Cookies became a hobby for me. I would post my creations on my personal page, and eventually people started asking me to make cookies for them. Little by little, that hobby became a business. Over the years, I've grown, improved, and had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people; many of whom have become regular customers. I've had the honor of making cookies from engagement parties, to their baby showers and then later for their children's first, second, and third birthdays. That part means so much to me. To be someone you think of when you're planning life's special moments. To be considered, trusted, and invited back again and again.

 

Thank you to the people who have trusted me over the years, to the ones who continue to come back, and to the new ones who are willing to let me be a small part of their special day. I can't wait to create something sweet for you.
